CHIRP FACTORY SESSION 005 - CIRCUIT DES YEUX
Man I wish the sea and cake still toured. I missed them several times living in Chicagoland. I swear someone in charge of booking made sure I had major plans before booking them haha. Favorite band of my lifetime.
Oh that is so beautiful, great to stumble across this live version of what is such a gorgeous song that I haven’t heard in a while…
As an ancient 73-year-old, this fits into my aural psyche alongside the likes of Philip Glass, Terry Riley, Robert Fripp, and a few others. And, I DIG IT big time. For such a young band, it's mindblowing to imagine where they'll grow next. Very exciting stuff. Very advanced. Sophisticated.
Where can I find a recording of the first song?
What genre is this? I can't find a melody but rather everything is kind of going at once. There's not one break, just constant walls of sound. Not unpleasant... Just a bit jarring. I will say this style is quite hypnotizing in its own way. Not something I'd leave on in the background but it is interesting to analyze and watch. Their timing is very good.
see you in Brussel (-:
13:11 when the beat hits so hard it turns the LUT on
Had to look the meaning up, but that's a good one xd it's what they do
This is great but the snare & rimshots in Fantasize seem to me too staccato an element it would perhaps work better with a frame drum, udu, tabla, etc percussion element, think it would be worth experimenting. Other percussion works well especially brushes in Story.
INCREDIBLE. Blew me away in a multitude of ways.
Holy fucking shit. I think I just found my new favorite band.
Terry Riley is loving
13:00 this is some insane and controlled maraca'rin
He looks so in flow and the song itself hasn't even started
What's that?
00:16 Ride Blind 04:45 Fantasize the Scene 09:17 A Story of This World
Beautiful
terrific melodies, great arrangements and what a stunning singing voice, somewhere between Nico, Diamanda Galas, Nina Simone (if she sang Scott Walker tunes slightly below her register). its quite shocking to hear a voice so hauntingly powerful arriving from a singer whose shyness and interiority reminds one of Beth Gibbons of Portishead.
Haley is so cool it hurts.
what a voice
It already reminded me of the Cannibal Holocaust theme. This version solidifies it.
From one of the greatest albums of all time, IMHO. Nice version, but miss the backing vocals
WTF 🔥🔥🔥💥🧠💥👌👌👌
I've always had a weird fascination with under-rated bands, The Sea And Cake + Luke Temple/Here We Go Magic are my two favorites.
This is so fucking good man
this is truly exceptional, but you really left rob frye (sp?) hangin´
damn they really look like horse lords
Thank you UA-cam algorithms 😊
magnifique
I just discovered them this week! I have such a crush on the lead singers voice
magnificient
That was AWESOME!
Neat, their guitarist took off the tone and volume control knobs in addition to the fret stuff. I'd love to see a diagram of his fret positioning to get myself a better handle on just intonation.
It’s a microtonal guitar, not sure if there’s different types but look into it
@@dudebroguyrighthere6092 There are infinite types
😍🌶
Красота!!!
reaching for indigo is a masterpiece
It's like math rock but cool
The Mekons are, in my wholly unsolicited opinion, one of the greatest bands/musical collectives of this or any other century.
This is awesome 🌊🏄♂️🏄♀️🌞. I love this.
I will do a radio show set with her vocals versus Scott Walkers in the near future.
interesting, I had the exact same thought, that her voice has a range similar to Scott Walker.
muito bom,um clássico....salve salve porra....que return to forever
Bom demais
YO WTF S TIER SICK
Anybody have any live C-Clamp footage? Someone posted something a while back but seems like it's long gone.
I think about that video every fucking day. Someone must have it...
@@keeperofsock8421 Please, if anyone knows where to find it, let me know. They're my favorite band of all time, I would seriously pay money to see it

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
ROCKY HORROR AND JIM MORRISON. THIS GREAT MAN BEEN AT IT 40 YEARS OR SO. THATS DEVOTION. AMAZING. THIS SPARKS CREATIVITY IN ME.
Saw them live in Chicago. New Years Eve 2010, I think. It was an absolute dream come true. I'm quite sure that I annoyed the lot of them during their breaks. They: sober as judges. Me: Drunken idiot on cloud 9. Archer's solo albums are also superb.
I prefer Prekop’s solo stuff but Archer has some solo jams I like too.
jazzier Don Cab
guy's breath control is insane! as for the content - just because you can doesn't mean you should
they can and they should imo
if you can't then you shouldn't. These chaps can.
@@zorbanongreco it sounds like shit. i could train my lungs to have that kind of capacity, and i still wouldn't choose to play this racket. it is a creative decision, which you are too dumb to understand. i recognize the skill, but the music sucks. they're so busy showing off that the music suffers - and they probably couldn't actually write a melody because they seem more like technicians than musicians
do they play this in guantanamo bay?
Shit Lords is more like it.
we need more lives of this guys
most under rated artist in my opinion
